2018 at Lithgow City Raceway is almost done and dusted. We have a great facility at Lithgow. Our track resurface has proved to be a great success and the quality of the job is looking good. Other major improvements that have been done or are in the works include.
• Safety improvements at turn 1 completed.
• Successful in application for a State Government grant that will see a new race control centre built in 2019 as well as a new in-grid and technical area.
• We have just placed an order for a Race America Safety Light System that will be operational for our first event of 2019
• We are reviewing the PA system equipment to improve its reliability and operation.
We ran a successful State Championship round in September with the largest entry for the series and the recent Metro Challenge was another strong event for the club with 130 entries. We have put the Ladies meeting on hold for 2019 but hope to bring it back bigger and better for 2020.
Our entry numbers below show that CDKC is not taking part in the social media led “decline of Karting”
2018, 969 entries, 11 race meetings
2017, 836 entries, 11 race meetings
2016, 711 entries, 9 race meetings
For 2019 Combined Districts Kart Club will continue to offer a great karting experience in a fun and safe environment. While there may be some challenges as always we will focus on making Lithgow your preferred Karting destination.
We wish all members, Karter’s, Volunteers and officials a Merry Christmas and happy, safe New Year
